If you just updated Google Chrome 78, when you hover your mouse cursor over a tab, you will now notice a tooltip showing the title and domain name of the tab.

Before Chrome only displayed a tooltip on hover, these are the “hover cards” tabs.

Disable tab hover maps with Chrome: // flags

Disable tab hover maps in Chrome 78 or later.

Clear everything in the address bar.

Copy / paste:

Chrome: // flags

Then Enter (keyboard key)

Or Right click and then → Paste and access Chrome: // flags

In the search fields box type or copy / paste → Tab hover

Disable → tab-hover-cards

The setting is Default (default).

Click on the elevator to select → Disabled (Disable).

Finally, at the bottom of the page click on → relaunch (Restart Google Chrome).

Now the bubble info will no longer be visible.
