Chadwick Boseman was buried in the Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton, South Carolina, just a few miles from his hometown of Anderson.
This is confirmed by the death certificate obtained by E! News. The actor's funeral took place on September 3, six days after his death at his home in Los Angeles from colon cancer.
The certificate also states that the Black Panther star had a colectomy in 2016. A second operation took place in March 2020 when the cancer had metastasized.
After the disappearance of Chadwick Boseman, tributes followed one another, especially from the cast of Black Panther. A few days ago, it was Lupita Nyong'o who was emerging from the silence even though the disappearance of her friend still seemed unreal to her.
“I am writing these words from a hopeless place to honor a hopeful man. I struggle to think and speak of my friend, Chadwick Boseman, in the past tense. That does not make any sense. The announcement of his death is like a punch in the guts every morning ”, she wrote in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
