"Two dead in clashes in Côte d'Ivoire" for a third term
Medical workers say at least two people have died in clashes in Côte d'Ivoire following President Alassane Ouattara's decision to run for a third term.
They were killed in the southern town of Divo where opposition supporters clashed with those of Mr. Ouattara.
Residents said one of the dead was a teenager who died after protesters torched a bar.
On Saturday, the ruling party officially chose Mr. Ouattara as its presidential candidate.
He had previously promised to resign, but changed his mind after the unexpected death of the prime minister in July.
