EXCLUSIVE: A New Hampshire man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old Trump supporter and two adults at a polling station during the state's first primary earlier this week.

The teen's mother said in an exclusive interview with Fox News after the arrest that her son was "traumatized".

Windham Police Department said Patrick Bradley, 34, of Windham, was charged with common assault and disorderly conduct.

Fox News has learned the suspect fell on the face of the teenager who wears a red "Make America Great Again" hat and volunteered at the Trump tent at Windham High School, a New Hampshire primary polling place .

Police said the incident occurred on Tuesday as Bradley left the polling place inside the school and headed for a Trump campaign tent occupied by several supporters. As he passed the tent, police said, Bradley slapped a 15-year-old boy in the face, then assaulted two other adults who attempted to intercede.

Bradley is also accused of throwing Trump campaign signs and attempting to overthrow the campaign tent, police said.

In the interview with Fox News, the boy's mother, Cathy Campbell, described the incident involving her son, asking him to remain anonymous.

“My son stayed home from school on Tuesday for a doctor's appointment and we went to high school to vote. When we got there, we saw Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle, and my son was on the moon, "she said. "My son is the most patriotic child you have ever met in your life. "

The Trump campaign confirmed that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle were at the polling station on Tuesday.

Campbell told Fox News that later that day, his son was asked to volunteer at the polling station and hold Trump signs outside the school.

"I was apprehensive that he is wearing the MAGA hat because we know it can cause it and we know people don't like Trump," she said. "But he was wearing the hat because he's proud to be 15 and he doesn't know what people will look like. "

Campbell said she dropped her son off to volunteer at the school.

“My son was standing outside on the sidewalk and he said 'good night', he said to everyone. But this man was triggered, "said Campbell. "He said 'f-tu' to him and wrapped his hand as fast as he could and slapped him. "

Campbell said that a man, also wearing a MAGA hat, came to intervene. According to Campbell, this man now has a fractured jaw.

Campbell told Fox News that her husband was a city firefighter and was on duty during the incident.

"He got a call about the assault and didn't know it was our son until he got there," she said.

"He's the sweetest child," said Campbell of his son. "He was so excited and didn't realize that something like this could happen."

Since Tuesday's incident, Campbell has said his son is "pretty traumatized."

“This guy lives in our city. It's pretty annoying, "she said, but added that her son goes to school and receives" a lot of support from his peers. "

"There will always be people who will try to blame the victim," she said. "But he certainly didn't do anything wrong. "

She added: "It is scary that you cannot express without which political party you are. People need to know how intolerant there is right now. "

"It makes me sick that people are mad at a child who wears a stupid hat," she said. "And everyone who has reached out has just spoken of what an incredible child he is." "

Campbell said that his son, a sophomore at Windham High School, loves history and the Second World War.

Campbell also explained that she and her family are "Republican, and we are supporters of Trump."

"He is not perfect, but he is our president and we support him," she said.

The incident follows other violence against Trump supporters. Florida man Gregory Timm, 27, is charged with driving his van into a Republican Party voter registration tent on Saturday. An arrest report said that Timm told members of the House that he did not like Trump and that "someone had to take a stand."

"Thus, a leftist attacks 3 Trump supporters, including a 15-year-old child, at NH this week," president's son Donald Trump Jr. tweeted on Thursday. "Last week, a disturbed leftist tried to overthrow a group of Trump supporters with a car in Florida. What will it take for the MSM to finally call left-wing violence? "

Meanwhile, former Trump 2016 campaign director and current senior campaign advisor Corey Lewandowski told Fox News that he went to the same polling station earlier today.

"My 8 year old son was holding a sign an hour before that," Lewandowski told Fox News. "It is appalling and disgusting that someone is physically assaulted for supporting the President of the United States, let alone a child. "

According to the Windham Police Department, Bradley has been taken to Rockingham County jail where he is being held on $ 5 cash bond, as well as administrative detention for a breach of probation. Bradley is scheduled to be brought to justice on Friday.
